Brandy

Meet my newest foster pup, Brandy! Brandy is an apricot toy poodle (looks like) of about 5 years old. She is a total sweetie! She is a snuggly, well behaved girl who just wants to be your little (very little - she's about the size of a medium cat) shadow. She's an excellent companion and would even be a good apartment dog. She's gentle and gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids. She's fully vetted but is heart worm positive, a treatable condition. Adoption fee is $250 and families must be prepared to take her with them if they leave Japan. 性格もおとなしく、他の犬、猫、子供とも仲良く出来ます。避妊、予防注射などは全て済ませてありますが、フィラリアは＋です。フィラリアは治療で治ります。

まいた公園

These kittens were dumped in a shoebox in a park in Yokohama. Luckily some good people found them and got in touch with me. They are about two weeks old and will need bottle feeding. Here's hoping they survive without their mama. 頑張りましょう。

Kit

This is Kit. He is a bit skittish when new people arrive, but quickly warms up to you and after spending time with him he soon becomes a super playful snugglepuss. He will curl up on the bed with me, lie at my side and knead my leg.

He loves to sleep all day and is definitely active at night. Needs someone who will give him attention and play before heading to bed at night. He is also good at entertaining himself with a toy.

This is a list of the vet treatments he has had done and his health status:
- We have had him neutered
- F3 vaccinated
- Multiple worm treatments (just to be sure) stool was negative for any parasites.
- Multiple flea treatments (when we first rescued him, our vet had to clip/shave most of his body because he had not only terrible fleas, but a bad case of cat lice that would not shampoo out). He is now CLEAR and he fur is all growing back (and it is so soft!)
- He had a full blood panel, x-ray and echo: they showed he is in very good health and he was given an antibiotic shot to treat a minor infection.
- He was underweight, but we have been feeding him high quality food and supplementing with pro-biotic and Lysine. He went from 4Kg to 4.75Kg in the first month.
- He is very good at using his litter box. Has no pee issues (he did mistake a fluffy rug for a pee place once) and his stools are regular and healthy.
- He has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. We did two tests, a month apart. We had a bit of a scare at first, but he is all clear.

He would best suit a single person or couple, or perhaps a family with older children who are experienced with cats. He might get on with another cat, but a female would be most likely the best companion.

His adoption fee is 10,000 yen. You must be prepared to have him micro-chipped and to keep him as a 100% indoor cat. I will provide the full vetting information of what he has had done (The above listed treatments cost almost 80,000 yen)
He will also come with his crate and cubby (so he feels safe in the new surroundings), scratching post, his favorite toys, litter box and whatever leftover food I have for him.

He is truly a beautiful boy and if were not for the fact that I have five cats of my own, he would not be leaving us. I just want him to have the best, most loving home possible. After what he has been through, he deserves it.

Layla

Layla has been adopted!

Layla is a 1 to 1.5 year old mix breed (maybe a Ryukyu-ken mix) dog weighing 35 pounds. Layla is a really happy dog and loves people and other dogs. She is house-trained, crate trained, and doing well with leash training and learning commands. She is not too keen about the car but once she is in, they enjoys the ride. She gets along great with the resident dog, the resident cat and with children. She will make a wonderful family member. Layla is fully vetted, heart worm negative, up-to-date on monthly preventatives and ready to go to her new home. Adoption fee is $250. Dakota

Today I coordinated an adoption for Dakota. Dakota is a beautiful Ryukyu-ken mix from Okinawa, pulled from the Ozato animal control center by Doggies Inc. He's estimated to be about a year and a half old. I met up with his foster mom, Autumn, and visited with the family that was interested in him.

Dakota is a very sweet and good natured dog, and he and the family hit it off quickly! He'll be going home this week!

Hello Leonardo

LEO is in trial with potential adoption pending!

Meet Leo. This gentle giant was found at a rest area off the expressway in Yamanashi, begging for food. He is estimated to be about 4-5 years old, and though he weighs only 4 kg., Is quite large in stature. He is extremely friendly, social, and talkative, and loves to be stroked, petted, picked up, and cuddled.

Though he's a big boy, he has a very sweet and gentle nature, with no scratching or hissing, even at the vet. He has been neutered, received a combo vaccination shot and flea treatment, and has tested negative for FIV / FeLV. Leo is an ideal companion cat! Let's find him the loving home he deserves. Jaxon

I helped to coordinate Jaxon's adoption this week. Jaxon is a nine month old guy who was born from a dog rescued by Doggies Inc. from the Ozato animal control center in Okinawa. At the time she was rescued, she was heavily pregnant and it was too late to spay her, so Jaxon and his siblings were born.

Jaxon was fostered by Autumn and found his forever home this week! Congratulations, cutie.
